Pride Month

One of my favourite months!

I always find people ask, why do we still need Pride? And I always say because there is a long way to go until everyone feels comfortable being their true self in this world. Until that happens, there is work to do. It's a way to honour the activists who paved the way for the rights I have today, like marriage equality and access to healthcare. Plus it's a fantastic celebration of our community.

1st June - Volunteers' Week

#VolunteersWeek is back and it's always the perfect opportunity to publicly thank your supporters. This year the campaign also has a Padlet, so you can share your inspiring stories and photos.

8th June - Diabetes Awareness Week

According to Diabetes UK, over half of people they surveyed said that stigma, judgement or shame means they sometimes avoid medical appointments. So this is a great opportunity to challenge stigma.

8th June - Carers Week

The theme for Carers Week 2026 is Building Carer Friendly Communities. With 5.8 million unpaid carers in the UK, it's time to create communities that recognise the support carers offer to friends, family members and loved ones. For support in Essex, do take a look at the wonderful charity Essex Carers Support.

8th June - Men's Health Week

During Men's Health Week, the Forum will be talking about men and pharmacy. Take a look at the website for more info - there's lots of resources to download so you can support the campaign.
